About Me
Hi! I’m Mandy Holliday — a writer, storyteller, and recent Miami University graduate with degrees in Professional Writing and Media & Communications. I’ve always been fascinated by the power of words and visuals to connect people, tell stories that matter, and make something ordinary feel a little more alive.
Most recently, I completed a Social Media Internship at Bookstr, where I crafted content for a community of book lovers just as passionate about stories as I am. From curating posts that sparked conversation to developing creative campaigns, I learned how to balance strategy with storytelling — and how much joy there is in shaping a brand’s voice.
Before that, I worked with Ukrainian Action, an NGO I joined while studying abroad in Luxembourg, where I helped develop communications strategies and manage projects that supported meaningful causes. Back on campus, as a Student Communications Associate for Miami University’s College of Engineering and Computing, I wrote feature articles, designed graphics, and produced content that highlighted the human stories behind innovation. I also served as a Teaching Assistant for a 250+ student media course, where I discovered how much I enjoy helping others learn and grow.
I graduated magna cum laude, was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and received the Richard L. Spears Scholarship for leadership and excellence in media studies — achievements that reflect how deeply I care about the work I do.
At my core, I’m drawn to creative spaces where storytelling, design, and strategy overlap. Whether I’m writing, editing, designing, or brainstorming the next big idea, I’m driven by the same goal: to make something that connects with people in an authentic way.
